TROPICAL WARDROBE STYLING FOR MEN

WARDROBE

 

Wardrobe for commercial photography should be clean. simple and basic. If you can, go shopping for new wardrobe. You should look for whites and solids with no logos. If you use existing wardrobe, do not bring anything with spots, stains, tears, wrinkles, etc. All wardrobe must arrive at location clean and pressed, so pack accordingly. Bring too much - then bring some more!

Wardrobe for tropical stock should be light, breezy and fun. Look for body-aware outfits. White is the best color, but don't overlook bright pastels and other pretty solids. Please try to bring clothes in each of the following categories -- again NO LOGOSI

 

Whites Bring pants and jeans (several, if possible). Whites must be clean!! And White tones must match!!!

Shirts Button-up, knit polo-type, t-shirts - Again, bring several.

Khaki Bring khaki, tan, natural, etc. - pants, shirts (different types).

Pastels Bright pastel shirts - as many as you can (different types).

Bright Colors Same as pastels - bright or primary colors - reds, yellows, greens, blues, etc.

Prints No bold or bright prints or geometries. Small prints or stripes are ok for golf, but generally these aren't very useful for guys.

Swimsuits Trunk-style suits are best, in solid colors with no logos Bring lots!

Accessories Again, these should be simple and go with your wardrobe. Bring shoes, socks, belts, hats and simple jewelry appropriate to your outfits. Shoes must be in new or excellent condition.

Tennis Shoes You must have clean white tennis shoes or sneakers with no logos!

Special If you are shooting golf, tennis, bicycling, or anything that requires special wardrobe or cover, please bring these.

NO LOGOS PLEASEIII

The above categories are the most important, but if you have something you really like that doesn't fall into one of these groups, bring it anyway.

GROOMING

You must be clean-shaven with manicured nails and toenails if wearing sandals. No 5 o'clock shadow! Hair should be simple and clean.

Please remember - the more effort you put into this list, the better your shoot will be.
